Wander the narrow alleys. The village preserves its traditional character, with narrow lanes and a peaceful atmosphere. Locals still keep animals and produce local cheese and honey.
Eat at a village taverna. Kroustas is known for traditional tavernas serving antikristo (lamb skewered and roasted around a fire), pies, and home-made salads of wild greens from the surrounding mountains. Other local dishes include myzithropites (cheese pies), ftazymo bread and boiled goat. The village has several tavernas and cafes and a small shop for basic needs.
Take in the view of Mirabello Bay. A viewpoint east of the village looks over the whole bay from high up. The Aegean Sea, the town of Agios Nikolaos and the Istron coastline all come into view.
Walk in the Kroustas Forest. West of the village, this green area has rich plants and wildlife and is good for hikers and nature lovers.
